Karissa

Karissa has had a strong passion for animals since she was a little girl. It started with Butterfield Acres’ summer camps as a child, developing into a career goal to be involved with animals. She recently graduated from Robertson College, where she completed the VOTA program, and then joined McKnight through their practicum program. Karissa has since been a part of the busy Reception Team, and one day aims to become a certified RVT to further her career. She is also McKnight’s Nutrition Advocate, as she has a great interest in educating owners in healthy eating when it comes to their furry friends.

During her spare time, Karissa enjoys outdoor activities, and loves spending time with her son and the rest of her family. She also has two fur-babies of her own; a dog named Athena and a cat named Jet.
