I came to Canada in August 1997 through the Live-in Caregiver Program. I have worked for people with physical disabilities and been a companion to elderly for 20 years. My dream however has always been working with animals. I grew up in a household full of dogs and rescued abandoned cats. When he would go on fishing trips, my father would also bring home injured birds from the small islands surrounding us. Ever since then my fascination and love for animals was very strong.

I volunteered and took a medical office assistant with a specialty in veterinary in 2015. I did my training here at McKnight and became a TA and have been working here for almost 5 years now. I am a proud mom to an elderly black lab and a tabby cat.
